Rizzoli Music Aperitivo: Joe Alterman & Mocean Worker

  • New York City, NY (map)

Join us at Rizzoli Bookstore on Sunday, February 22 at 5:00pm for an unforgettable evening of Les McCann and 1960s soul jazz with Joe Alterman and Mocean Worker.

Pianist Joe Alterman and bassist/producer Mocean Worker (aka Adam Dorn) have joined forces to celebrate the spirit of Les McCann and 1960s soul jazz. Their acclaimed new album, Keep The Line Open, reimagines the late jazz legend and the sound he helped revolutionize, channeling the genre-blurring energy that defined McCann’s music. A profound influence on both Alterman and Dorn—who knew him as a mentor, collaborator, and close friend—they merge their distinct artistry into an electrifying set that captures McCann’s essence while standing proudly on its own as a joyous, groove-filled party-starter.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a TICKETED EVENT. Doors open at 4:30 pm / show starts at 5:00 pm. Seating is limited and will be first come, first served.
